Women’s soccer announces new additions

Nittany Lions coach Erica Dambach announced the addition of five players — Becca Hamilton, Madison Moroi, Bristol Pizzuto, Laura Suero and Sarafina Valenti — to the program on Monday.

These five bring the 2016 class to seven, as Amanda Dennis and Emma Hasco joined the program earlier in the spring semester.

Suero and Valenti are both Pennsylvania products, hailing from Royersford and Bechtelsville, respectively.

Suero, a defender, was a 2014 Gatorade Player of the Year nominee while playing for Spring-Ford High School. Valenti, a goalkeeper, tallied 52 shutouts in four years at Boyertown High School.

Hamilton and Pizzuto are from New Jersey, the former attending Howell High School and the latter Hunterdon Central.

Hamilton, a defender, played club soccer for the Players Development Academy, winning the 2015 ECNL National Championship. Pizzuto, a goalkeeper, totaled 10 shutouts and 98 saves for her high school as a senior.

Moroi, a forward, is from New Albany, Ohio, and played club for Ohio Premier. Her squad finished fifth nationally in 2013.
