After overcoming an early two-goal deficit, the Penn State women’s hockey team pushed Syracuse into triple overtime before falling 3-2 in the semifinals of the CHA Tournament.
It was the longest game in conference tournament history, surpassing the mark of 108:04 set in 2013.

Whitlinger finished with 61 saves. Syracuse’s Jenn Gilligan made 40 saves.
Syracuse started the game with a quick goal by Megan Quinn just more than three minutes into play. Allie Munroe added another 14 minutes later.
The Nittany Lions didn’t score until the third period when Bella Sutton took advantage of a power play to put her team on the board. Two minutes later, Laura Bowman tied the game. Amy Peterson assisted on both goals.
Penn State finished the season with a 12-19-6 record.
