Penn State softball falls to UMass, Ole Miss

Penn State fell 3-0 to Massachusetts and 4-3 to Mississippi in the Red and Blue Classic on Friday.

Alyssa VanDerveer led Penn State with two hits against Massachusetts.

In the second game, the Nittany Lions were up 3-2 at the bottom of the fourth inning, but Ole Miss scored runs in the sixth and eighth innings to top Penn State.
