Three Penn State gymnasts earned All-Big Ten honors from the conference when end-of-season awards were handed out Monday.
Junior Kiera Brown and sophomore Briannah Tsang were named to the first team, while junior Nicole Medvitz picked up second team honors from a vote of conference coaches. Brown and Tsang are the 27th and 28th Nittany Lions to be named to the first-team list.
In her first season at Penn State, Brown captured eight event titles and four all-around titles while leading the Big Ten in the uneven bars. Tsang won the floor exercise title four times, the vault title three times and the all-around title once this past season, and ranks in the top 10 in the conference in the floor exercise, vault and all-around. Medvitz ranks seventh in the balance beam in the Big Ten, winning or sharing top honors in that event in four meets this season.
The Nittany Lions head to the Big Ten Championships at Nebraska on Saturday.
