Penn State beats Princeton in women’s lacrosse
Madison Cyr and Steph Lazo led the No. 8 Penn State women’s lacrosse team to a 14-10 win over No. 7 Princeton on Wednesday.
Cyr finished with six goals and one assist, and Lazo recorded seven assists for the Nittany Lions. Penn State’s Jenna Mosketti scored three goals, Katie O’Donnell and Madison Carter each added two and Ally Heavens had one goal to round out the scoring.
The Nittany Lions jumped out to a 6-0 lead after three straight goals by Mosketti and took an 8-2 lead into halftime. Princeton never pulled closer than three goals in the second half.
Penn State (7-1) returns to action at Stanford at 3 p.m. Sunday.
