No. 20 Penn State men’s lacrosse falls to UMass
No. 20 Penn State was edged by UMass 11-9 on Saturday afternoon.
Junior Mike Sutton scored his first hat trick of the season for the Nittany Lions (5-3) and was one of six scorers. Freshman Grant Ament scored twice alongside doling out four assists.
“We put a lot of pressure on our defense today, again, and I credit UMass – they did a really good job of being very deliberate in the offensive end and that put us in a very impatient state offensively,” head coach Jeff Tambroni said, according to a release from the athletic department.
