Men’s golf team wins Kingsmill Intercollegiate

The Penn State men’s golf team won the Kingsmill Intercollegiate after shooting a 4-under 276 on Tuesday.

The Nittany Lions finished 5-over for the tournament to beat runner-up Tennessee, which recorded a 10-over.

Charles Huntzinger led Penn State, finishing tied for second at 5-under. He recorded a 4-over 74 on Tuesday, while Texas Christian’s Paul Barjon shot 4-under to finish 7-under and win the individual title.

Nittany Lions teammates Chris Houston and JD Dornes took fifth and sixth, respectively. Houston finished 1-over, and Dornes was 2-over.

Penn State’s Cole Miller tied for 21st (8-over), and Geoff Vartelas finished tied for 69th (17-over).

The Nittany Lions return to action at the Kepler Intercollegiate in Columbus, Ohio, from April 9-10.
