PSU sits in 14th at Bryan Park Invitational

Penn State is in 14th place out of 15 teams after the first round of the Bryan Park Invitational on Friday.

The Nittany Lions recorded a 31-over as a team, four strokes behind 13th-place Central Florida and seven strokes ahead of last-place University of North Carolina-Greensboro. Virginia is in first place at 1-over.

Halley Morell is tied for 44th after shooting a 6-over to lead Penn State. Cara Basso (tied 53rd, 7-over), Lauren Waller (tied 68th, 9-over), Jackie Rogowicz (tied 68th, 9-over) and Ariana Coyle Diez (tied 74th, 10-over) rounded out the Nittany Lions’ competitors in the 84-player field.

The tournament continues Saturday.
