Penn State finished fourth as a team at the Big Ten Championships on Friday with a score of 427.150.
Ohio State won the title with 434.450 points. Illinois (429.700) finished second, and Minnesota (429.100) took third. It was the Buckeyes’ first conference championship since 2007.
The Nittany Lions were led by a second-place finish for Trevor Howard in the floor exercise with a 15.350 and Alexis Torres’ 15.100 for third place on the vault.
The final day of the championships, which includes the individual event finals, starts at 7 p.m. Saturday.
