Carter receives Big Ten award in women’s lacrosse

Penn State’s Madison Carter received Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors Tuesday.

Carter had one goal in a win over Drexel last Wednesday and finished with three goals and two assists in a win over Rutgers on Saturday.

It is her third weekly freshman conference award this season. She has also been the Co-Offensive Player of the Week twice.

The Nittany Lions (9-2, 1-0) return to action at Ohio State at 4 p.m. Saturday.
