No. 8 Penn State couldn’t overcome a four-goal halftime deficit in a 16-13 loss to No. 18 Ohio State on Saturday.
The Buckeyes broke a tie and scored the final four goals of the first half to take a 9-5 lead and maintained control in the second half. Ohio State’s Rainey Hodgson finished with four goals and four assists and Cian Dabrowski recorded four goals and three assists.
Katie O’Donnell paced Penn State with four goals and Madison Carter had three goals.
Penn State goalie Emi Smith made nine saves.
