PSU men’s golf tied for fifth at Kepler Intercollegiate

Penn State is tied for fifth place with Kent State after the first round of the Kepler Intercollegiate on Saturday.

The Nittany Lions shot 15-over as a team, while first-place UNLV shot 5-over.

Penn State’s Cole Miller is tied for ninth place after shooting 2-over, just three strokes off the lead. UNLV’s Shintaro Ban and UAB’s Taylor Eyster are tied for first place at 1-under.

Charles Huntzinger is tied for 23rd (3-over), JD Dornes is tied for 32nd (4-over), Chris Houston is tied for 48th (6-over) and Geoff Vartelas is tied for 53rd (7-over).

The final round is set for Sunday.
