Shannon Good’s pinch-hit, two-run single in the sixth inning proved to be the difference in Penn State’s 5-3 win over Maryland on Sunday.

The win completed a three-game sweep of the Terrapins.

With the score tied 3-3, Good came to the plate with the bases loaded in the sixth inning. She sent a one-out single up the middle to drive in two runs.

Tori Dubois went 2 for 4 with an RBI, and Lexi Knief scored two runs and drove in another for Penn State.

Madison Seifert pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief to earn the win.

The Nittany Lions (25-17, 11-3) return to action at Iowa, starting a three-game series Friday at 7 p.m.
