Penn State’s Huntzinger wins individual title at Rutherford Intercollegiate

Penn State’s Charles Huntzinger won the individual title and helped his team win the team title at the Rutherford Intercollegiate on the Blue Course on Sunday.

Huntzinger shot a 5-under 66 in the final round Sunday to finish 10-under for the tournament. The Nittany Lions recorded a team score of 9-under.

JD Dornes (tied fourth; 5-under), Cole Miller (tied 15th; 4-over), Chris Houston (tied 15th; 4-over) and Geoff Vartelas (tied 31st; 10-over) rounded out Penn State’s competitors.

Penn State competes for Big Ten championship in Newburgh, Ind., from Friday to Sunday.
