Women’s golf in fifth at Big Ten Championships

Penn State hopped up two spots to fifth on the leaderboard thanks to a productive Saturday at the Big Ten Championships at The Fort Golf Resort.

Lauren Waller guided the Nittany Lions, shooting a two-under 70 to go along with her 70 on Friday. Waller is now four-under on the tournament, and tied for sixth place.

Ariana Coyle Diez was one-over for the day and now tied for 10th, Jackie Rogowicz was even par to stay at three-over, and Cara Basso was three-over, sliding to a tie for 46th.

Additionally, Grace Chung rebounded with a one-over 73 after shooting a 77 on Friday, and Halley Morell shot a four-over 76.

Penn State is currently even for the tournament and six shots behind the leader, Northwestern, heading into the final round on Sunday.
