Nittany Lions women’s lacrosse falls in Big Ten tournament

No. 2 seed Penn State fell 9-6 to third-seeded Northwestern in the Big Ten tournament semifinals Friday night.

Alexis Phillips scored two goals to lead the Nittany Lions.

Northwestern scored the game’s first three goals and led from start to finish. Kaleigh Craig paced the Wildcats with three goals.

Northwestern will take on No. 1 Maryland in the championship game at 1 p.m. Sunday.
