Penn State men’s tennis tops Columbia in NCAA tournament
The No. 37 Penn State men’s tennis team edged No. 25 Columbia 4-3 in the first round of the NCAA tournament Saturday.
Penn state duo Leo Stakhovsky and Matt Barry earned a win at No. 2 doubles, and teammates Aws Laaribi and Matt Galush won at No. 3 doubles.
Stakhovsky, Barry and Marc Collado each won in singles play.
The Nittany Lions will take on No. 1 Virginia, which beat Monmouth 4-0, in the second round at 1 p.m. Sunday.
