Nittany Lions earn women’s lacrosse regional honors

Penn State’s Madison Cyr and Steph Lazo were both named to the IWLCA All-Region first team on Saturday.

It is Cyr’s second first-team honor. She is first on Penn State in goals with 51, points with 70, caused turnovers with 33 and ground balls with 31. Lazo led the conference in assists per game (1.89) and scored 31 goals.

Jenna Mosketti, Abby Smucker and Madison Carter received second-team honors.

The Nittany Lions (12-6) take on No. 2 seed Florida (18-1) in the second round of the NCAA tournament at 1 p.m. Sunday.
