Men’s golf tied for 9th at NCAA Regionals
The Penn State men’s golf team completed its first day of NCAA Regionals, finishing with a 6-over par 294 as a squad on Monday at Blackwolf Run.
The Nittany Lions are tied for ninth with UCLA. Florida and Idaho are tied for first at 5-under.
Individually, JD Dornes and Charles Huntzinger led the way for Penn State, both recording scores of 1-over 73. Through the first day, that’s good for a tie at 27th.
Cole Miller and Chris Houston were at 2 over, while Geoff Vartelas finished last in the field at 10-over par.
Four players share the individual lead at 3 under.
The three-round tournament continues through Wednesday.
