Penn State’s O’Donnell earns national recognition

Penn State’s Katie O’Donnell was named the Epoch/Lacrosse Magazine National Player of the Week on Tuesday.

O’Donnell scored three goals in a win over Winthrop in the first round of the NCAA tournament and had a career-high five goals in a win over No. 2 Florida in the second round.

The Nittany Lions (13-6) are set to host Penn in the quarterfinals at noon Saturday.
