Penn State teammates Brannon Kidder and Isaiah Harris both advanced to the finals of their events at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Kidder, a senior, recorded a time of 3:49.06 in the 1,500-meter run semifinals Wednesday. He finished second in his heat and is one of 12 competitors to earn a spot in the finals Friday. Virginia’s Henry Wynne had the top time in the event (3:40.62).
Harris, a freshman, had the fourth-fastest time (1:46.24) in the 800 on Wednesday. Eight runners will compete in the finals Friday. Texas A&M freshman Donavan Brazier led the field Wednesday with a time of 1:45.07.
Penn State’s Lauren Kenney will compete in the javelin Thursday night.
