Tucker joins U.S. Virgin Islands Olympic staff
Penn State track & field associate head coach Erin Tucker will join the U.S. Virgin Islands to its coaching staff for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Tucker will be tasked with coaching current Penn State volunteer assistant coach Eddie Lovett, who will compete in the 110-meter hurdles for the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Penn State now has 21 representatives — 18 competitors and three coaches — in the Olympics, which will be held Aug. 5-21.
Nittany Lions track & field will be represented by Tucker, Lovett, Joe Kovacs and Darrell Hill. The latter two will compete in the shot put for the United States.
