Garcia Boissier wins three medals

Penn State diver Hector Garcia Boissier earned three medals — a gold, silver and bronze — at Spain’s National Championships on July 23.

The rising sophomore, a native of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, took gold in the three-meter synchronized dive while teaming up with his brother, Nico.

Garcia Boissier earned silver in the individual three-meter springboard, finishing only behind his brother, and in the one-meter springboard, the Nittany Lion finished with a bronze medal.

Hector Boissier is coming off a productive freshman campaign in Happy Valley, becoming the first Nittany Lion to earn honorable mention All-America honors at the NCAA Championships since Adam Pierce in 2006.
