Penn State baseball: Nittany Lions fall to Minnesota
Penn State dropped its eighth consecutive game as the Nittany Lions fell 4-0 gainst Minnesota in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday.
The Nittany Lions (17-22, 5-8 Big Ten), who blanked 1-0 in the series opener, continued to struggle scoring, despite getting nine hits in Saturday’s opener.
Taylor Skerpon was the only Nittany Lion with multiple hits as smacked three singles.
Minnesota took the lead for good on Connor Schaebauer’s three-run double in the second inning. T.J. Jann (1-6) went the distance for the allowing 11 hits. He walked two and struck out two.
