Penn State baseball: Texas A&M finishes off sweep of Nittany Lions

Two weeks into the season and the Penn State baseball team is still looking for its first win.

Nick Riotto and Aaron Novk each had a career-high three hits and score a run for Penn State.

Logan Taylor’s two-run homer in the second gave the unbeaten Aggies a 2-0 lead. Jim Haley’s RBI single plated Novak in the second, but the Aggies added single runs in the third, sixth and eighth innings. Nick Graham’s RBI single drove in Riotto in the seventh for Penn State.

Taylor Lehman (0-2) allowed six hits and three runs in three innings for the Nittany Lions. Matt Kent (2-0) allowed two runs, eight hits and struck out six for the Aggies (7-0).

Penn State will next play at N.C. State on Friday at 3 p.m. to start off the USA Baseball/Irish Classic. The Nittany Lions also will face Cincinnati on Saturday and Notre Dame on Sunday.
