Penn State baseball: USA Baseball-Irish Classic cancelled due to weather

Penn State will not play this weekend after the USA Baseball-Irish Classic was cancelled Thursday due to winter weather.

The Nittany Lions were scheduled to play North Carolina State, Cincinnati and Notre Dame in the tournament in Raleigh and Cary, N.C. Penn State coach Rob Cooper could not any find alternative sites or opponents for this weekend.

The Nittany Lions (0-6) return to action with a three-game series at Charleston Southern starting March 6.
