Penn State baseball players earn All-Star honors in respective summer leagues
Penn State baseball juniors Jake Pilewicz and Nick Riotto were both named to All-Star teams of their respective summer leagues, the athletic department announced Monday.
Pilewicz, who is playing for the Riverhead Tomcats in Long Island, has an ERA of 1.80 through Sunday alongside a 2-3 record in 10 appearances with five starts. He also has 29 strikeouts in 35 innings pitched.
Riotto is playing for the Galion Graders in Ohio and leads the league with a .420 batting average and .500 on-base percentage in 19 games, alongside six doubles and 10 RBIs.
