Penn State baseball: Nittany Lions to host Lock Haven in fall exhibition game
UNIVERSITY PARK — Though summer is coming to a close, Penn State baseball will host free baseball when the squad plays Lock Haven in an exhibition game on Friday, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m. at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
The Nittany Lions, who start fall practice on Sept. 24, will face a program they’re historically familiar with. Penn State and Lock Haven met for the Nittany Lions’ second-ever recorded game in 1882, and the two sides met frequently in the 1980s.
Penn State went 18-30 overall in 2015, and return starters at five spots in the lineup, as well as its entire weekend pitching rotation.
