Penn State Lady Lions earn 900th program victory
The Penn State women’s basketball team reached another program milestone Sunday with a 106-50 win over St. Peter’s at the Bryce Jordan Center.
The Lady Lions collected their 900th victory to become the 16th NCAA Division I program to do so. They also improved to 18-3, and coach Coquese Washington is 10-0 in home openers.
Penn State was led offensively by Lindsey Spann’s game-high 31 points. The Lady Lions led 64-18 at the half.
Kaliyah Mitchell (11), Teniya Page (19), Sierra Moore (10) and Peyton Whitted (12) also scored in double figures for Penn State.
St. Peter’s was led by Talah Hughes’ 17 points.
The Lady Lions hit the court again on Wednesday when they host Akron at 7 p.m.
