Penn State men’s basketball: Newbill signs overseas contract

Former Penn State guard D.J. Newbill has signed with ASVEL Basket, a team in the French ProA League, according to the team’s website.

Newbill went undrafted and played for the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA Summer League in Orlando, where he averaged 10.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists.

He led the Big Ten in scoring last season with 20.7 points per game.
