Tamika Williams-Jeter has been hired as an assistant coach on Coquese Washington’s staff, Penn State announced in a press release Tuesday.
“Tamika Williams-Jeter is a tremendous addition to our coaching staff and to our women’s basketball program,” Washington said in the release. “Her accomplishments and experiences on both the college and professional level are truly impressive. In addition, her tireless work ethic and her commitment to excellence in the area of community service make her an excellent fit for our program and the Penn State community overall.”
She spent the last two years as an assistant at Kentucky after working two years at Kansas and six years at Ohio State. She played at Connecticut, winning national titles in 2000 and 2002 and earning All-American honors twice. She also played seven years in the WNBA.
