Penn State men’s basketball to play at Madison Square Garden
Penn State will take on St. John’s in the Holiday Festival at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 18, according to a report by Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports on Friday.
Rutgers will play Fordham in the event’s other game, according to the report.
St. John’s is coming off an 8-24 season under coach Chris Mullin. Penn State was 16-16 last season. The two teams have not played since Nov. 29, 2013 when Penn State won 89-82 in overtime.
The Nittany Lions will return to Madison Square Garden for the second straight season. Penn State fell 79-72 to Michigan last year at the arena.
