Big Ten schedule set for Penn State men’s basketball
The Penn State men’s basketball team will host Northwestern in its Big Ten opener, part of the team’s 18-game conference slate announced by the league Thursday.
The Nittany Lions will take on the Wildcats on Dec. 27 at the Bryce Jordan Center before going on the road for games against Rutgers (Jan. 1) and Michigan (Jan. 4). Penn State then faces Michigan State at the Palestra in Philadelphia on Jan. 7.
The rest of the Nittany Lions’ home games are against Minnesota (Jan. 14), Indiana (Jan. 18), Illinois (Jan. 28), Rutgers (Feb. 4), Maryland (Feb. 7), Purdue (Feb. 21) and Ohio State (Feb. 28).
The team’s remaining road games are against Purdue (Jan. 21), Wisconsin (Jan. 24), Indiana (Feb. 1), Illinois (Feb. 11), Nebraska (Feb. 14), Minnesota (Feb. 25 or Feb. 26) and Iowa (March 5).
The Big Ten tournament is set to be played from March 8-12 in Washington D.C.
