Penn State women’s basketball announces captains

Penn State named Kaliyah Mitchell, Peyton Whitted and Sarah McMurtry its captains for this season.

Mitchell, a senior forward, averaged 9.5 points and started 28 games last season. Whitted, also a senior forward, averaged 9.3 points and a team-high 8.3 rebounds a year ago.

McMurtry was a walk-on as a freshman last season.
