After 16 months of planning and brainstorming, Penn State football finally unveiled plans Thursday to wear a retro uniform on Sept. 30 against Indiana as part of their “Generations of Greatness” game, an homage to different eras of Penn State football.

Past, current — and, yes, even future — Nittany Lions couldn’t help but contain their excitement over the news. Some fans on social media voiced displeasure, especially about the white shoes, but players overwhelmingly seemed to love the change.
