Harrisburg star Shaquon Anderson-Butts commits to Penn State football
Make it two on the day.
Shortly after three-star quarterback Will Levis committed to Penn State’s 2018 recruiting class, four-star wide receiver Shaquon Anderson-Butts joined him.
Anderson-Butts — the No. 12 player in Pennsylvania per 247 Sports — verbally committed to Penn State on Saturday afternoon. The Harrisburg star’s pledge brings Penn State’s 2018 class to 17 members.
“...After a long process and trying to find out which school would best fit me and my family, I’ve decided that I’ll be sticking with my hometown school,” the wideout said in a statement on Twitter.
Anderson-Butts had plenty of programs to choose from. Per 247 Sports, the wideout had offers from 24 schools, including Florida, Notre Dame, Oregon and Pittsburgh.
He’s the third player of the weekend to commit to the Nittany Lions. Levis committed Saturday morning, and three-star defensive tackle Judge Culpepper committed on Friday.
