Penn State LB Jason Cabinda named Lott IMPACT Player of the Week
Penn State senior linebacker Jason Cabinda was named as the Lott IMPACT Player of the Week — for the best defensive performance in college football — for a 14-tackle performance against Indiana.
He earned the honor Tuesday, and Penn State will receive $1,000 for its general scholarship fund as a result.
Cabinda finished the Indiana game with six solo stops, a sack, 1.5 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery to go along with the 14 total tackles. Cabinda and Co. will next face Northwestern on the road at noon Saturday.

Ehresmann earns weekly conference honors
Penn State senior Hannah Ehresmann was named the CHA Goalie of the Week after recording 60 saves in two games against then-No. 5 Minnesota Duluth. She allowed four goals.
Penn State lost both contests, 1-0 and 3-0, but Ehresmann still impressed by keeping the Bulldogs off the scoreboard for four of six periods.
The Nittany Lions will next take on the Union Dutchwomen on Friday and Saturday. Those games will start at 6 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively, at the Pegula Ice Arena.
