Kickoff time announced for Penn State football’s 2020 Blue-White Game
The kickoff time for Penn State’s annual Blue-White Game is coming a little earlier this season.
The scrimmage will take place at 1:30 p.m. April 18 at Beaver Stadium and will air live on FS1, according to a news release by the athletic department. Over the past three years, the game has started at 3 p.m.
The Blue-White Game annually ranks as one of the most-attended spring games in the nation. The Nittany Lions’ intra-squad scrimmage last year boasted the fourth-largest crowd (61,000) — behind only Ohio State (61,102), Alabama (62,219) and Nebraska (85,946).
At least 50,000 fans have gone to the Blue-White Game in nine of the last 11 years, and at least 70,000 have attended in four of the last six.
Season ticket-holders should already have received their Blue-White parking permits last summer, and others can purchase game day parking permits for $20 ahead of time, starting March 2, or in cash on game day.
The Nittany Lions’ season kicks off Sept. 5 in the home opener against Kent State.
