Where did Penn State football land in the AP Top 25 poll after losing to Iowa?
Penn State football dropped in the latest AP Top 25 poll.
The Nittany Lions were ranked No. 7 in Sunday afternoon’s poll after being ranked No. 4 in last week’s poll. They fell three spots after losing to Iowa Saturday evening in Kinnick Stadium on the road. The Hawkeyes now rank No. 2.
Penn State had 1,147 voting points this week, eight more than the No. 8 Michigan and 10 fewer than the No. 6 Ohio State.
The Nittany Lions are on bye this week but will take on unranked Illinois on Oct. 23 at Beaver Stadium.
Penn State is one of five Big Ten teams ranked in the poll — all five are in the top 10. They’re joined by the aforementioned Hawkeyes, the No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes, the No. 8 Michigan Wolverines and the No. 10 Michigan State Spartans.
