Penn State football has added another commitment to its 2023 recruiting class. The Nittany Lions picked up safety Conrad Hussey’s commitment Monday afternoon. Hussey committed via his personal Twitter account.

The three-star safety plays his high school football in Florida for St. Thomas Aquinas. He tallied 26 tackles and four interceptions as a junior, helping the Raiders win the FHSAA 7A state title. As a recruit, he’s the No. 44 safety in the country and the No. 85 player in the state of Florida.

Hussey chose the Nittany Lions over 17 other scholarship offers, including Colorado, Florida and Florida State. His commitment brings Penn State’s total to 11 players in the 2023 class, with Hussey joining three-star corner Lamont Payne as the only defensive backs in the group.

With Hussey on board, the group jumps from No. 4 overall and No. 2 in the Big Ten in the 247Sports Composite team rankings to No. 3 overall and No. 1 in the Big Ten. The class took the third spot from Ohio State and only trails Notre Dame at No. 2 and Texas Tech at No. 1 overall.
