Penn State added another 4-star wide receiver for its 2023 recruiting class Wednesday.

Carmelo Taylor, a 5-foot-11, 150-pound wide receiver from Roanoke, Virginia, announced his commitment to Penn State via Instagram. Taylor chose the Nittany Lions over South Carolina and Virginia Tech.

He is ranked the 45th-best receiving prospect and the sixth-best player in Virginia for the 2023 recruiting class, per On3.com’s Consensus. The Nittany Lions currently have the 10th-ranked 2023 recruiting class.

Penn State has recently seen the de-commitments of 4-star defensive end Tomarrion Walker on Tuesday and 3-star wide receiver Yazeed Haynes, who flipped to Georgia on July 27.
