Get ready for Week 3 of Penn State football with rosters, picks, games to watch and more
The 2-0 Penn State football team heads south this week to face the undefeated Auburn Tigers for an “Orange-out” game.
Auburn, which is beginning the season with five consecutive home games, is coming off a 24-16 win last week over San Jose State.
The Nittany Lions lead the series 2-1, including a 28-20 White Out victory last season at Beaver Stadium, and will be the first Big Ten team to play at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama.
Auburn has played just three previous regular season games against Big Ten teams. Penn State has gone 11-16 all-time against the SEC in regular season games.
Auburn has encouraged fans to wear orange to the game, which is expected to see high temperatures in the upper 80s under sunny skies.
Brad Nessler and Gary Danielson will call the game, which kicks off at 3:30 p.m. Saturday on CBS.
Game picks
We’ve added a new game picker to the lineup this week. Andrew Buckman is an intern reporter this semester, and he joins the other CDT staffers in unanimously predicting Penn State to defeat Auburn.
Kyle J. Andrews and Josh Moyer have predicted the most games correctly after two weeks (13 out of 20).
