Get ready for Penn State’s game at Michigan with picks, rosters, schedules and more

Penn State returns from its bye week to face a major test at Michigan on Saturday. The Nittany Lions (5-0, 2-0) and Wolverines (6-0, 3-0) are battling to stay atop the Big Ten East (along with undefeated Ohio State).

The teams will play at noon on Fox, marking the fourth consecutive week Michigan has played at the same time on the same network with the same broadcast crew. Gus Johnson will call the game with analyst Joel Klatt and sideline reporter Jenny Taft. Penn State’s previous appearance on Fox was for the season opener at Purdue.

Michigan is coming off a 31-10 victory at Indiana last week.

The Wolverines have the series edge over Penn State, 15-10. Michigan won last season’s meeting 21-17 at Beaver Stadium.

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is 4-3 against Penn State while James Franklin is 3-5 against the Wolverines.

Penn State will face another colorful crowd, as a “Maize Out” will be in effect at The Big House. The team is encouraging fans to wear maize clothing to the game. Last month, the Nittany Lions defeated Auburn during an “Orange Out” at the Tigers’ stadium.

Fans in Ann Arbor can expect a chance of showers early Saturday morning and then mostly sunny skies with temperatures reaching the mid-50s, the National Weather Service says.

This week’s picks

The CDT’s game pickers all finished over .500 last week. Josh Moyer and Bret Pallotto led the way, both going 8-2. Moyer sits atop the season standings with a 45-15 record.

Reflecting the challenge that awaits the Nittany Lions, the CDT’s game pickers for the first time this season did not unanimously expect the team to win. They all agreed on the outcome of just one game. Here is the full slate of picks:
