Penn State announces date for 2023 Blue-White football game at Beaver Stadium

Penn State has announced the next time its football program will take the field in front of fans at Beaver Stadium.

The university’s athletic department announced the Blue-White game — the team’s annual spring game — will take place on April 15.

The “game” is the 15th and final spring practice for the Nittany Lions every season. It’s opened up to the public and usually takes the form of a scrimmage, but in the past has been modified due to roster constraints.

It’s currently scheduled to kick off in “early to mid-afternoon” per a release from the program.

The scrimmage will likely present an opportunity for Penn State fans to watch future starting quarterback Drew Allar work with the first team offense. Allar is the expected starter next season at the position and joined the Nittany Lions in January as a five-star recruit.

More information on the event will likely be announced at a later date.
