Penn State football’s Black Friday matchup against Michigan State moved to Detroit

Penn State’s Black Friday matchup against Michigan State won’t be taking place in East Lansing where the Spartans usually play their homes games.

The game will be played instead at Ford Field in Detroit at 7:30 on Nov. 24.

Ford Field, which is where the Detroit Lions play their NFL games, is a dome — eliminating potential weather factors for a night game in November.

The game will air on NBC and will be available to stream on Peacock, giving the Nittany Lions bookend night games on NBC this upcoming season.

They’ll face the West Virginia Mountaineers Sept. 2 in Beaver Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
