Penn State football opened its 2023 season with a win on Saturday night, defeating the West Virginia Mountaineers 38-15 at Beaver Stadium.
The “helmet stripe” prime time game had a similar look and feel as Penn State’s famous White Out game, with the majority of the stadium — 110,746 in attendance — wearing white. The game also marked Drew Allar’s debut as starting quarterback.
