When to plan your West Coast trip: Unveiling Penn State football’s full 2024 schedule

Penn State’s 2024 schedule was unveiled Thursday and it includes a fall trip to the West Coast. The Nittany Lions will head to USC on Oct. 12 for their first matchup as Big Ten foes.

That is the team’s only trip that far west next year, with two of the new Big Ten teams — Washington and UCLA — coming to Beaver Stadium. They’ll make those trips on Nov. 9 and Oct. 5, respectively.

That’s it for the new teams, with Oregon not playing Penn State until 2025.

The team’s biggest traditional in-conference rival will make a trip to Happy Valley on Nov. 2, when the Nittany Lions take on Ohio State — while trying to earn only their second win over the Buckeyes in James Franklin’s tenure as head coach.

Penn State’s biggest road trips will come later in the season. Outside of the USC trip, all of the team’s road conference games will come in the last half of the schedule, including back-to-back trips to Purdue and Minnesota in November.

Here is the Nittany Lions’ full 2024 schedule, including non-conference opponents.
