When is the White Out? Penn State announces all theme games for 2024 home football schedule

Penn State has announced its theme games for the 2024 season.

The White Out will take place on Nov. 9 when the Nittany Lions take on Washington. A kickoff time has not been set for the game and the television network that will air the game has not been announced, but a source with knowledge of the information said the kick time will either be 3:30 p.m. or 7 p.m.

Choosing Washington over Ohio State for the White Out means the game against the Buckeyes will be a Helmet Stripe game — where all fans wear white except for a couple of sections in the west and east side of the stadium. That game also does not have a kickoff time or television network announced yet.

The Nittany Lions will also don their throwback “Generations of Greatness” uniforms once again this season for their Homecoming game on Sept. 28 against Illinois. That game will kick at 3:30 p.m., 4 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. The program will also host a Stripe Out game, with alternating sections wearing blue and white, against UCLA on Oct. 5. Like the Ohio State and Washington games, that game does not have a kickoff time or network announced.

Here is the entire Penn State football home schedule and the themes for each game:

Home schedule

Sept. 21 vs. Kent State — Military Appreciation

Sept. 28 vs. Illinois — Homecoming (“Generations of Greatness” uniforms)

Oct. 5 vs. UCLA — Stripe Out, All-U Day

Nov. 2 vs. Ohio State — Helmet Stripe
