Penn State football adds four-star defensive end to roster for 2024 season

Penn State has made a late addition to its roster heading into the 2024 season.

Four-star defensive end Max Granville, who was committed to Penn State’s 2025 recruiting class, will join the program ahead of fall camp and begin his career a year early.

Penn State announced the addition of Granville Thursday afternoon.

Granville is rated a four-star by all four major recruiting services.

The newest Nittany Lion freshman played high school football in Texas for Fort Bend Christian Academy tallying 38.5 sacks over the last three seasons. He was also named the team MVP in 2023.

He will join a defense that projects as one of the best in the country with a chance to join a rotation of defensive ends behind Abdul Carter and Dani Dennis-Sutton.
