Penn State announces kickoff time, TV designation for non-conference matchup with Kent State

The kickoff time for Penn State’s next game has been announced.

The Nittany Lions will take on Kent State at 3:30 p.m. in Beaver Stadium on Sept. 21. It will air on the Big Ten Network.

The matchup will be the team’s second with a MAC opponent after Bowling Green traveled to State College and nearly knocked off Penn State Saturday afternoon. Kent State, however, is projected to be one of the worst teams in college football. The Golden Flashes lost to St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday after losing by 31 to Pittsburgh in week one.

The Nittany Lions will have two weeks to prepare for the game because they are on bye this week — one of two bye weeks this season.

The matchup with Kent State is the only one that currently has either a kickoff time or a television designation for the rest of the season. Remaining announcements will come within two weeks of each game.
